Grading Scheme Customization Rules
To uphold the Academic Senate's policy on grading schemes, there are certain rules for grading schemes that must be adhered to:
- Letter grades CANNOT be changed.
For example, you cannot add a “D” letter grade where there isn’t one in the original grading scheme.
Tip: How to Handle Discrepancies
If you see a discrepancy between the course level and the grading scheme identified for the course:
- Contact your program department and let them know that the grading scheme will need to be corrected in the syllabus (and course settings).
- Set the correct grading scheme for your course in its Settings.
