To make this account, you will need your first name, last name, primary email, and UCLA Extension student ID (starts with an X) EXACTLY as it appears on your UCLA Extension record. You will also need to make your account on the UCLA Extension Career Services page here. DO NOT make your account directly on handshake.com or the UCLA main campus website.

Who is an eligible certificate student?
Currently enrolled certificate students who have paid their candidacy fees can access UCLA Handshake for free.
*If you have graduated, you can access UCLA Handshake for 3 months for free, and with a 6-month paid subscription for $30 thereafter. The 3 months start on the date your certificate was completed.
What is my UCLA Extension record?
Your UCLA Extension record refers to your student account. You can access it through your student portal.
I already have a Handshake account from UCLA main campus.
If you are a UCLA alumnus who is now a UCLA Extension student, email us at careers@uclaextension.edu. Provide your full name, 9-digit UID, UCLA Logon ID, name of the certificate program, and anticipated program completion date in the email.
I have a Handshake account from my previous university.
If you have a Handshake account from another university (.edu address), update it to match your primary email address in your UCLA Extension record, along with your first and last name. To update your primary email, follow the instructions here or chat with a Handshake agent here.
