When your Canvas account is ready, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for accessing it.
Please note:
- Enrolling in a certificate program does not provide access to Canvas. After your certificate enrollment is confirmed, visit uclaextension.edu to enroll in a certificate course.
- If you just enrolled in a course that has already started, it may take 2-4 hours for your enrollment to appear in your Canvas Dashboard.
- Canvas course access becomes available:
- 2 days before the course start date at 1:00 a.m. Pacific Time until.
- 30 days after the official course end date shown in the syllabus.
Log In With Your Email Address
Important: Wait until you receive your Canvas account confirmation email before attempting to log in. The email confirms that your account has been activated and is typically sent within 2-4 hours after enrollment.
- Go to the UCLA Extension Canvas login page.
- Type your email address in the Email field (use the same primary email associated with your uclaextension.edu login).
- Type in your Canvas Password or click on "Forgot Password" to receive an email to create new password (Note: New users will be prompted to create a new password)
- Click the "Login" button (Note: click on "help" if you need further login assistance or do not receive the "forgot password" link via email).
5. If prompted, complete Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to continue accessing Canvas. See "Canvas Security: Multi-Factor Authentication" for instructions on setting up Canvas MFA.
