Tuition Payment for Certificate Programs

Learners are generally not required to pay the full tuition for a certificate program up front, though some exceptions may apply. Tuition for the certificate is paid on a course-by-course basis as you enroll in each class.

This allows learners to take advantage of open enrollment for most courses, enabling them to complete one or two courses to ensure the program is the correct fit before fully committing to the entire curriculum. 

Programs that require bulk tuition payment: 

  1. Paralegal Studies

  2. Post-Baccalaureate Program in Classics

  3. Pre-MBA Studies

Important note: 

  1. UCLA Extension courses have a shelf life of 5 years. You must join a certificate program before the shelf life of a course expires to count it toward your program requirements.   2. A select number of programs require an application before enrollment. This information is highlighted on the respective program pages.
