The Concurrent Enrollment program allows eligible members of the public (18 years or older) to enroll in UCLA regular session daytime courses during the Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters on a limited, space-available basis through UCLA Extension. This is a limited opportunity and is contingent on available space after all matriculated UCLA students have been accommodated. Enrollment requires the consent of the course instructor and/or department.

Registration and Approval Process
- When ready, click on the Apply Now button (see screenshot above) on the Concurrent Enrollment page (here).
- Submit your application. If the course is eligible, you will receive an email within 2-3 business days containing the official DocuSign Registration form. More information on eligible course designations is on the concurrent enrollment page here.
- Complete the DocuSign form to obtain the required instructor and/or department signatures.
Once the DocuSign form is completed, the application status in your Student Portal will update from Under Review to Approved, and payment instructions will be sent via email within 2-3 business days.
Registration is complete only when payment has been received. Payment must be finalized by the end of the 3rd week to secure enrollment and avoid being dropped from the course.
Note that some courses require additional approvals, such as the certificate for the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) class, Laboratory Safety Fundamental Concepts for certain research tutorials.
Course Designations
With instructor approval, students may enroll in classes not exempt from concurrent enrollment. More information on eligible course designations is on the concurrent enrollment page here.
Transferring Concurrent Enrollment Credit to UCLA Main Campus or Another Institution
Inquiries regarding UCLA admissions and transfer policies should be directed to the UCLA Undergraduate Admissions Office or to the school you are transferring credit to. UCLA Extension does not govern admissions policies of other institutions, including UCLA.
Disability Accommodations
Accommodations in relation to Accessibility and Disability Services must be made through the UCLA Center for Accessible Education (CAE) for all UCLA courses.
