The following browsers are supported by our course evaluation system:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer (11.x)
- Microsoft Edge (Latest two versions)
- Google Chrome (Latest two versions)
- Mozilla Firefox (Latest two versions)
- Apple Safari (Latest two versions)
If you have difficulties you may want to review the specific settings for your particular browser to see if that will correct the problem.
Browser Cookies
The course evaluation system requires the acceptance of a session cookie by your browser software.
The session cookie is used to ensure that you and only you are able to access information within the system. This session cookie is NOT stored permanently on your computer, and will be removed when you close your browser.
If you are seeing a message indicating the system has been unable to create a session cookie in your browser, this may be because cookies are disabled in your browser or cookies are enabled, but third-party cookies are disabled.
The instructions below will walk you through checking/enabling browser cookies as is needed to use the evaluation system.
IPHONE AND IPAD default cookies settings are set to Allow from Websites I Visit, which prevents third-party cookies from being saved on your system.
To enable third-party cookies:
- On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings.
- Select Safari.
- Under Privacy & Security, disable Block All Cookies.
- You may need to restart Safari for the new settings to take effect.
SAFARI default cookies setting does not allow third-party cookies to be saved on your system. To enable third-party cookies:
- From the Safari menu, click Preferences
- Select the Privacy tab from the top navigation
- In the Cookies and website data section, deselect Block all cookies
- Close the Preferences window
- You may also need to deselect Website tracking: Prevent cross-site tracking
- You may need to restart Safari for the new settings to take effect.
GOOGLE CHROME allows 3rd party cookies by default. If you changed the default settings, you will need to revert to enabling all cookies by following the below steps:
- Click the Chrome menu icon in the upper-right corner of the browser
- Click Settings
- Show or expand Advanced settings
- Under the Privacy and security section, click Site Settings
- Under Permissions, click "Cookies and site data" and check or enable Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended)
- Disable Block third-party cookies
By default, MOZILLA FIREFOX privacy settings are set to Remember history, which allows 3rd party cookies. If you changed the default settings to either Never remember history or Use custom settings for history, you will need to revert to enabling all cookies by following the steps below:
- Click the Menu icon, or button.
- Click Content Blocking.
- Click on the Privacy & Security.
- In the Content Blocking section, select Standard.
- Click OK. You may need to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.
INTERNET EXPLORER allows 3rd party cookies by default. If you changed the default settings, you will need to revert to enabling all cookies by following the below steps:
- Click the Internet Explorer settings icon in the upper-right corner of the browser.
- Click Internet Options
- Click on the Privacy tab, then push the Advanced button
- Select Accept for First-party Cookies and Third-party Cookies, and check Always Allow Session Cookies.
- Click OK. You may need to restart Internet Explorer for the changes to take effect.
MICROSOFT EDGE is set to not block cookies by default. If you changed the default settings, you will need to revert to enabling all cookies by following the below steps:
- Click the Microsoft Edge settings icon (...).
- Select Settings.
- Click Privacy, Search and services.
- Under Tracking Prevention, click the Basic option.
