Observations are only required in some courses, and they may be as simple as observing children play or do other activities. Observations do not necessarily have to take place in a child care center, but we encourage students to reach out to a local-childcare center to find opportunities to meet observation requirements. UCLA Extension does not offer student placement services for observations.
