Submissions are not accepted after the deadline. Current and former Entertainment Studies and Screenwriting students can still submit their short films to be considered for UCLAxFilmFest even if they are not entirely completed. There should be a full cut of the film, but they can still be finalizing music, sound, etc. Students who submit unfinished work should be aware that their film will be in competition with finished film, and the Official Selection judges will consider their films as they are against other completed films.
If an unfinished film is not accepted into the current UCLAxFilmFest year, the current or former student can always submit their film again in its finished form the following year. Submissions are free.
If the unfinished film is accepted into UCLAxFilmFest, all changes and updates need to be approved by the film festival coordinators before they can be included in the competition and screened in the festivals.
