Make sure to use a supported browser when using Canvas.
Some integrated course tools in Canvas, such as Course Syllabus, Zoom, and Videos (Panopto), require a browser that accepts third-party or cross-site tracking.
Here's a guide on how to enable third-party cookies in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari:
Google Chrome:
- Open Google Chrome
- Click on the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner.
- Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down and click on "Privacy and security" in the left sidebar.
- Click on "Cookies and other site data."
- Select either “Allow all cookies” or “Block third party cookies in Incognito” options to enable third party cookies.

Mozilla Firefox:
- Click on the three-line menu icon in the top-right corner.
- Select "Preferences" (or "Options" on Windows) from the dropdown menu.
- In the left sidebar, click on "Privacy & Security."
- Under the "Cookies and Site Data" section, click on "Manage Permissions."
- Make sure there are no blocked third-party cookies listed. If there are, remove them.
- Alternatively, you can select "Standard" or "Custom" under the "History" drop-down menu to allow third-party cookies.

Microsoft Edge:
- Click on the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner.
- Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down and click on "Privacy, search, and services" in the left sidebar.
- Under the "Cookies and other site data" section, select "Don't block cookies."

Apple Safari:
- Click on "Safari" in the top menu and choose "Preferences."
- In the Preferences window, click on the "Privacy" tab.
- Uncheck the "Prevent cross-site tracking" option.
- Ensure that "Block all cookies" is unchecked.

Apple iOS Mobile Device (Safari):
- Go to "Settings" on your iPhone or iPad.
- Scroll down and select "Safari".
- Under "Security & Privacy," disable both "Block All Cookies" and "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking."
- Ensure that "Block all cookies" is unchecked.
Android Mobile Device (Google Chrome):
- On your Android device, open Chrome.
- At the top right, tap the three-dot icon.
- Tap Settings, tap on Site settings, then tap on Cookies.
- Select either “Allow all cookies” or “Block third party cookies in Incognito” options to enable third party cookies.
