Zoom Access

Zoom is a web conferencing tool used at UCLA Extension to conduct live online class sessions and enable real-time collaboration between instructors and peers.

Before class starts

  1. Ensure you have a stable internet connection, a functioning microphone, and a camera.

  2. Download and install the latest version of the Zoom application to ensure compatibility and full functionality.

  3. Complete a quick audio and video check by visiting the official Zoom test page prior to your scheduled class time.

Course Sessions

  1. Log in to Canvas.

  2. Select your course from the Dashboard.

  3. Click on Zoom in the course navigation menu on the left side of the page.

  4. Locate your scheduled class meeting under the Upcoming Meetings tab.

  5. Click the Join button next to the meeting, then select Open Zoom Meetings to launch the session.

If an instructor records a session and makes it available, you can view it later under the Cloud Recordings tab within the course Zoom menu.
