All applicants must meet the following requirements:

Paralegal Studies Certificate (Graduate Level)
Requirement: You must hold a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or higher.

Paralegal Studies (Undergraduate) Certificate
Requirement: You must have an Associate degree (AA) or at least 60 semester units (90 quarter units).
General Education: Within those units, at least 18 semester units (27 quarter units) must be in "General Education" (e.g., English, Math, Social Sciences, or Humanities) across three different subjects.
Regardless of which program you select, all students must complete the same core classes.
Both groups enroll in the Paralegal Training Program (Parts 1–4), totaling 36 units.

Undergraduate program students may be subject to taking up to three additional courses which are optional for the Graduate program students:
- LAW X 407.1 - Oral Communication and Presentation Skills for Legal and Business Professionals
- LAW X 407.2 - Effective Writing in Legal and Business Settings
- LAW X 407.3 - Legal Internship
