UCLA Extension offers an academic certificate in Real Estate but does NOT facilitate the California Real Estate Salesperson License Examination. You will need to verify with the California Department of Real Estate directly to know the exact requirements needed to sit for their exam. That said, the Real Estate Certificate does offer the courses that meet the educational requirements for the Salesperson License Examination.
Please visit the CA DRE's Salesperson License Application Requirements page and/or their How to Apply page to learn more. If you prefer, you may also call them directly via (877) 373-4542.
Below is a list of courses that UCLA Extension offers that are equivalent to those required for the Salesperson License Examination:
- Real Estate Principles (required for licensure)
- Real Estate Practice (required for licensure)
Plus one from the list below:
- Principles of Financial Accounting (optional)
- Business Law: Fundamentals (optional)
- Real Estate Finance (optional)
