Once your certificate program application is approved, you’ll have 5 years to complete all requirements and stay active in the program. If you don’t finish within this time frame, your status will expire.
If your status expires, you can re-establish a new 5-year candidacy by paying the required application/candidacy fee. Please note that you’ll need to follow any updated program requirements and course expiration rules. Any exceptions will need approval from the Department Director.
For complete details on Certificate Candidacy Expiration, please refer to Section 6 on page 9 of the UCLA Extension AA150 policy.
