UCLA Extension offers a variety of convenient ways to enroll in our courses, many of which are open to enrollment and do not require a separate admission decision. You can easily self-enroll online, by phone, in person at the UCLA Extension Gayley Center, or by postal mail using our Enrollment Form. Please note that enrollment is always subject to space availability at the time your payment is processed.
Courses and Programs with Admissions Requirements:
While most of our courses and programs are open to enrollment, some have specific admission requirements. You will see these requirements listed in three different ways.
- For restricted courses, you will be guided through an application process once you click on the ‘yellow’ enroll button on a course page.
- Some courses will list recommended or required prerequisites. These are typically found on the course page under the course description. It is your responsibility to provide proof of meeting the prerequisites outlined in the course descriptions.
- For restricted specializations and certificate programs, you will find detailed application instructions and information on any applicable nominal application fees on the specific program's webpage.
Courses and certificates with special admissions requirements typically require 7-14 business days for processing. You cannot be added to courses and certificates until you have received confirmation of enrollment from UCLA Extension staff.
