Complimentary Courses

  • Updated

UCLA Extension offers non-credit educational opportunities through UCLAxOpen courses and Information Sessions to help prospective and current learners explore academic programs.

UCLAxOpen Courses

UCLAxOpen provides complimentary online courses, workshops, and seminars designed for personal enrichment and career growth. All UCLAxOpen offerings fall under the 700–799 course classification series, indicating they are non-credit bearing, carry no tuition fees, and do not appear on official academic transcripts.

To enroll in a UCLAxOpen course:

  1. Access the UCLAxOpen course directory.

  2. Select a course.

  3. Complete the online enrollment steps to reserve your seat.

Information Sessions

Information Sessions are free events that provide direct insights into UCLA Extension certificate programs, specializations, and individual course offerings. These sessions allow learners to meet instructors, interact with staff, review curriculum requirements, and participate in live Question and Answer (Q&A) discussions prior to enrollment. Sessions are conducted as live online webinars, virtual open houses, or self-paced video presentations.

To register for an Information Session:

  1. Visit the Information Sessions page.

  2. Filter open events by subject area or program title.

  3. Choose a scheduled session and complete the free registration form.
