Domestic students can enroll in and complete multiple certificates simultaneously. You are however, recommended to take one certificate at a time to maximize your success in the program of study.
F-1 Student Enrollment Requirements
An international student holding an F-1 Visa is not permitted to be enrolled in two UCLA Extension certificate programs concurrently. This policy ensures compliance with federal immigration regulations, which stipulate that international students on an F-1 Visa must be enrolled in a single, authorized program of study. International students on an F-1 Visa must adhere to the following enrollment rules regarding certificate programs:
You must be enrolled in one certificate program at a time.
This single program must correspond with the curriculum listed on your Form I-20, Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status.
If you wish to pursue an additional certificate, you are able to enroll in and begin the next program only after successfully completing your first program.
For more details on your immigration status and program requirements, visit the International Student Services page on the UCLA Extension website.
